Having received his Masters in Environmental Design degree, with research on embodied carbon in alternative building materials, the focus of Brodsky's career has been at the intersection of the built environment and global warm. Across is >25 year career, Brodsky has held leading positions at the US EPA's ENERGY STAR program, where his focus was on energy efficiency in the operation of commercial buildings; GE Capital Real Estate, where he was a senior member of the global team tasked with integrating sustainability into the practices of the ~$80 B investment portfolio; professor of sustainability at the largest academic program in real estate in North America; and currently as executive director of a soon-to-be-launched initiative to comprehensively implant climate content into the curriculum of the ~100 academic programs in real estate across North America.
